  • 503 Chong Yuet Ming Chemistry Building, University of Hong Kong, Pokfulam Road, Hong Kong

Teaching Areas:

  • Inorganic Chemistry

  • Supramolecular Chemistry

Research Areas:

  • Supramolecular Chemistry of Topologically Non - Trivial Molecules

  • Molecular Recognition and Detection of Challenging Species

Current Research:

We are currently developing new synthetic strategies for the efficient and high-yielding synthesis of complex mechanically interlocked structures such as catenanes and molecular knots, and are exploiting their unique mechanical properties in polymeric materials and novel molecular machines. We are also interested in devising new recognition strategies for the selective recognition and detection of challenging molecules of biological and environmental importance.
