The Faculty of Science is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of all science students by ensuring a nurturing and healthy environment that supports both academic and personal growth. As part of our ongoing efforts to foster a supportive and healthy campus community, the Student Wellness Ambassador Scheme has been introduced.
Peer-to-peer support is an effective tool that brings a positive impact to individuals. Student Wellness Ambassador will play a pivotal role in promoting wellness, organizing well-being activities, and providing peer support.

The second semester kicked off with the Science Student Wellness Fair, bringing science students together for an afternoon of fun, creativity, and connection. From exciting game booths and personalized craft workshop to positive message exchanges and tasty treats, the event was filled with laughter and wonderful memories.

Eligibility
Non-final year science undergraduate students in the academic year 2024-25 from the following programmes are eligible to apply:
- BSc majoring in
Biochemistry
Biological Sciences / Biological Sciences (Intensive)
Chemistry / Chemistry (Intensive)
Earth System Science
Ecology & Biodiversity / Ecology & Biodiversity (Intensive)
Environmental Science
Food & Nutritional Science
Geology / Geology (Intensive)
Mathematics / Mathematics (Intensive)
Molecular Biology & Biotechnology / Molecular Biology & Biotechnology (Intensive)
Physics / Physics (Intensive)
- BSc&MRes
- BSc&LLB (Year 1 & 2)
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrates a genuine interest in promoting student health and wellness
- Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Shows understanding, respect, and care for others’ perspectives and experiences
- Willing and able to commit time for wellness activities

Allowance and Recognition
An allowance of HK$50 per hour will be offered to Student Wellness Ambassador as a token of thanks for their participation in events, with a maximum of 20 hours payable for the academic year 2025-26. A Certificate of Appreciation will also be awarded at the end of the academic year in recognition of their altruistic services.
Application
Students are welcome to apply for both the Student Peer Adviser and Student Wellness Ambassador Schemes. Please complete the application form via the Science Online Application Submission System (OASS) (SF402).
