"Being awarded the HKU Faculty of Science Articulation Pathway was both an encouragement and a clear direction for my academic development. I was inspired to apply because the pathway aligned perfectly with my long-term goal of advancing into data science, and it offered a structured transition from undergraduate study to the Master of Data Science programme. The opportunity to continue at HKU, supported by a tuition reduction, relieved a significant financial burden and allowed me to focus fully on building my technical foundation and research capabilities.

The pathway has strengthened my confidence to pursue interdisciplinary work and has opened doors to opportunities that I would not have considered otherwise. For future applicants, I would encourage you to articulate your long-term vision clearly and to approach the pathway as more than a continuation of study. It is a chance to grow, specialise, and challenge yourself in a supportive academic environment."

"I majored in environmental science for my undergraduate studies, and I plan to switch my career direction to the management aspect, so the taught master programmes in Environmental Management caught my attention. As an awardee, the Articulation Pathway provided me with a direct and smooth transition into HKU's Master's program. The tuition fee reduction allowed me to invest the savings in other career-building activities, such as professional certification exams or environmental-related workshops. In addition, the pathway has given me higher confidence, knowing that my previous learning was valued made me feel prepared and capable for my future study and career. The opportunity of the Articulation Pathway is so unique and valuable, it’s essential to stay informed about the application information by checking the email regularly and keeping up-to-date with the timeline."

"Majoring in Food and Nutritional Science, I was eager to deepen my understanding in the food industry and develop specialised skill sets. The articulation pathway from the BSc to the MSc(FIMM) programme at HKU offered advanced courses, complemented with assignments and presentations involving real-world applications. In light of the keen competition in the current job market, pursuing a postgraduate degree at a well-known university like HKU can provide students with a stronger foundation for career opportunities and connections in specific fields. Growing up locally in a modest family with limited financial resources, I am grateful for this opportunity, as it has enabled me to pursue postgraduate education that would otherwise be out of my reach. I hope that HKU BSc students will seize this opportunity to further their studies, enhancing their prospects and preparing them for future success."
