HKU Science Faculty website received University Standard of Excellence in the WebAward 2019 and being recognised as a “Friendly Website”

The new Faculty website presents a graphically-impressive image, with fresh and global outlook. Yet apart from the focus on the appearance, the website also strives to be a user-friendly website and make it accessible for all stakeholders and general public. By achieving the above, prospective students, researchers, alumni and the public could easily acquire the information they need and get to know more about our commitment and achievements in teaching, research and knowledge exchange, while at the same time having a pleasant experience of surfing on our magazine-like website.

The Award is selected by Web Marketing Association, which was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and development of the best websites on the World Wide Web. The Association is the producer of the WebAward Competition, and this programme is now the longest-running annual website award competition dedicated to naming the best Web sites in 96 industries while setting the standard of excellence for all website development.
