Award for Teaching Excellence 2005-06

Dr Tsang is honoured for his outstanding performance in his teaching skills as well as his ability to arouse students' learning interest. Since joining the University in 1994, he has been a pioneer in applying multimedia technology in teaching, including putting most of his teaching materials online in WebCT and producing CD-ROM for his course. He was invited to give a talk on the use of IT in teaching in a teachers' conference. During his service in the University, Dr Tsang has received variours teaching development grants for activities related to teaching. He had made use of the grants to develop practical sessions and offer research projects for undergraduate students. Dr Tsang is highly regarded by students for his effective and excellent teaching performance. Dr Tsang receivd his PhD in Microbiology from the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK and has worked at the University fo Oxford for six year before returning to Hong Kong.
