The Young Scientist Scheme (YSS) has been a great success in its first year. Sixteen participants took part in the Summer Research Fellowship (SRF) Scheme in the past summer.
In 2017, twenty top Science students have been admitted to the YSS. A welcoming session was held on September 15, 2017 to welcome this new batch of future young scientists. Professor Alice Wong, Associate Dean of Science (Teaching and Learning), delivered a welcoming speech and gave an overview of the ample research opportunities that we offer to our YSS participants, and Ms Iris Ip of the International Affairs Office provided further details on the exclusive study abroad opportunities. The attending students mingled with the guests and other fellow students and shared their expectations and goals. We look forward to meeting this group of energetic and aspiring students again very soon!
