Dr Yuqi Qian
Postdoctoral Fellow of the Department of Earth Sciences at HKU;
Member of Laboratory for Space Research at HKU

香港大學地球科學系博士後研究員;

Dr Yuqi QianWith the Moon captivating humans for decades, China now leads the charge in lunar exploration. The remarkable 2020 landing of the Chinese lunar probe, Chang'e-5, brought back 1,731g of lunar soil, and HKU achieved a historic feat by obtaining some of the lunar soil samples collected, marking the first time that a Hong Kong research team has secured such samples.

In this talk, our leading researcher Dr Yuqi Qian will unlock the secrets of the Moon, unveiling insights into Earth's history, lunar formation, and the vast wonders of our Solar System.
