Statistical DNA Forensics: Theory, Methods and Computation published by England: John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. (2008), 262 pages, by Professor Fung Wing Kam, and Dr HU Yueqing.

In this outstanding work, Professor Fung and Dr Hu set out to provide a practical guide to the analysis of DNA evidence. Moreover, this is the only book that emphasizes the computational aspects of forensic DNA. This is valuable for forensic chemists as they need to evaluate the strength of DNA evidence numerically. The book is also supported by a supplementary website, containing specially developed freeware enabling practitioners to analyse real case studies. The freeware is particularly relevant to researchers and forensic scientists, and it has been downloaded over 1,000 times since March 2008.
