Mr Raymond CHAN join the HKU Computer Centre in 2000, and since 2008, he has been working in the Faculty of Science as an IT manager, assuming responsibility for all IT matters within the Science Faculty. Throughout the years, he has held various IT roles and provided work automation solutions for office staff, students, teachers, and department staff.

In 2019, Raymond was tasked with introducing an online credit transfer and RPG e-thesis submission system amidst the social movement, which was successfully implemented. The following year, the COVID-19 pandemic caused significant disruptions to daily operations for both students and teachers. Within a span of two months, he efficiently converted legacy forms to online forms to mitigate the challenges. Over the years, he has developed and released numerous online forms tailored to the needs of students, teachers, and departmental staff. During the social movement and COVID-19 periods, he has supported his colleagues in working from home by providing technical assistance and ensuring uninterrupted services to students.

Fearlessly embracing challenges, Raymond wholeheartedly pursues his efforts. He willingly goes the extra mile to assist colleagues in achieving their objectives, bringing him profound satisfaction.
