The Faculty of Science has a long history of excellence in basic research. There are six research divisions and five interdisciplinary research units in our Faculty, with more than 150 renowned researchers in a very broad spectrum of research fields. More than 15% of our professoriate staff are at the world's top 1% scholars (Clarivate Analytics’ Essential Science Indicators 2019). We are equipped with cutting-edge research facilities and we are conducting research in versatile research areas, including natural sciences, mathematical and statistical sciences. We also collaborate extensively with world-class universities in interdisciplinary research projects and we also have robust records of funding and publications. We are now inviting high calibre students for PhD and MPhil studies in 2021/22.
