The Faculty of Science aspires to pursue research eminence, and our six Research Divisions and five interdisciplinary research units are now in position to nurture our research strengths. We have one of the world’s premier science faculties here, with more than 150 renowned scientists in a broad spectrum of research fields, ranging from natural sciences to mathematical and statistical sciences. Our publications are at the forefront of scientific research, and more than 16.5% of our professoriate staff are at the world's top 1% scholars (Clarivate Analytics’ Essential Science Indicators 2020). Striving to achieve breakthroughs in scientific research and make profound impact on mankind, we also collaborate extensively with world-class universities in interdisciplinary research projects, with the support of cutting-edge research facilities and robust funding.
