The Faculty of Science is delighted to launch a new Entrepreneurship Seminar Series for ALL students, staff and alumni, aimed at providing training for those interested in business ventures.

The Entrepreneur Seminar Series is a “Must Go To” event for those who are going to start or have already started a business venture.

Entrepreneurs normally need to acquire several rounds funding supports from investors for their business expansion by selling equity shares of their companies. Therefore, start with the end in mind, it would be necessary for entrepreneurs to understand how to set and increase the value of the company before they actually start their ventures. However, to set the value of the startup company is not an easy job, particular the company is still in a pre-revenue stage.

With decades of experiences in forming, running, selling and investing startup companies, Mr. Johnny Chong will share some real cases with us the journey of company valuation development from pre-seed round to Post-IPO stage. In addition, Mr. Chong will introduce several ways that can help entrepreneurs to increase the value of the company significantly, particularly when negotiating with investors.
