The Faculty of Science is delighted to launch a new Entrepreneurship Seminar Series for ALL students, staff and alumni, aimed at providing training for those interested in business ventures.
A group of professionals, including founders of startups and law firms, business consultants, angel investors and partners of investment fund, will share their expertise and invaluable experience in areas from idea formation to exit strategy. The Entrepreneur Seminar Series is a “Must Go To” event for those who are going to start or have already started a business venture.
Many university students and faculty want to setup a business but they really don’t know how to do it. There are many “dos” and “don’ts” in setting up and running the business; some of them, either one, are lethal if we handle it incorrectly. This is why the survival rate of startup is always very low. It would be excellent if we can learn from other entrepreneurs so that we can avoid the “don’ts” and focus more on the “dos” Mr. Johnathan Chong has run through the entrepreneurial journey from a student only with an idea to selling his first business to become a serial entrepreneur and investor.
Mr. Chong will share with us about why and how he wanted to setup a company when he was still studying in university. In addition, he will also share with us his vision and action to become a serial entrepreneur and investor.
