Hong Kong PhD Fellowship (HKPF) Scheme*: Initial Application to RGC: September 1, 2021 (HKT 12:00 nn or GMT +8 hours) – December 1, 2021 (HKT 12:00 or GMT +8 hours); Full Application to HKU: September 1, 2021 – December 1, 2021 (HKT 23:59 or GMT +8 hours)HKU Presidential PhD Scholarship (HKU-PS)*: Candidates who are nominated by HKPF Scheme will be considered for HKU-PS. Separate application for HKU-PS is not required. Please see above for the application deadline for HKPF.Application Deadline for MPhil & PhD - Main Round: December 1 each yearApplication Deadline for MPhil & PhD - 1st Clearing Round: April 30 each yearApplication Deadline for MPhil & PhD - 2nd Clearing Round: August 31 each year

Application Deadline for MPhil & PhD 2026-2027

Main Round: December 1, 2025

1st Clearing Round: April 30, 2026
