Research Colloquium for Science Undergraduate Students 2018-19
The Research Colloquium for Science Undergraduate Students 2018-19 was successfully concluded on April 26, 2019 in MBG07, Main Building. During the event, the best six presenters in the Poster Presentation each gave a 10-minute PowerPoint presentation on their research findings and answered questions from audience regarding their research projects in a professional setting. Dr. Rajan, Assistant Dean (Experiential Learning) was invited to present the awards and certificates to the best colloquium presenters and participants.
The Best Colloquium Presenter was BSc Year 4 student Mr Ng Man Hoi with his project “Ion-exchange Leaching Solutions on Product Quality in Rare Earth Recovery”. BSc Year 4 Student Mr Yeung Chun Hei was awarded the 2nd Best Colloquium Presenter with his project “What causes brightness "anomalies" in gravitationally lensed quasars?” and Miss Leung Man Yee, BSc Year 4 student, had been awarded the 3rd Best Colloquium Presenter for her project “Evolutionary reduction in the plastome of mycoheterotrophic Thismia hongkongensis”.
