Professor Hongzhe SUN received 2021 CAIA Award (Grand Prize) on metallomics, metalloproteomics and its application in human health

Professor Hongzhe SUN, Norman and Cecilia Yip Professor in Bioinorganic Chemistry & Chair of Chemistry, HKU, was awarded the 2021 'Chinese Association for Instrumental Analysis(CAIA) Award' (Grand Prize) on his pioneering work of 'Metallomics, metalloproteomics and its application in human health' in recognition of his exceptional accomplishments in research.

The application projects of the 'CAIA Award' will be reviewed once a year from five aspects: the degree of innovation, scientific value, the influence of the publications or works of the main papers, the degree of application promotion, and the economic or social benefits that have been obtained, and is divided into four levels: Special Award, First Award; Second Award; and Third Award. The Special Award rewards significant achievements with leading international level or huge social and economic benefits.
