Stanley, Repulse Bay, and Victoria Peak.
Details to be announced.
On Saturday (Dec 19) there will be a semi-organized outing to Macau. The LOC will arrange group ferry tickets (first class), suggest tour itineraries, make available maps and visitor materials, arrange a group dinner, and transportation back to the ferry terminal.
The plan is to take the Cotai Water Jet from Hong Kong (Sheung Wan) to Macau (Taipa) at 10 am. You can reach the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal by taking the MTR from HKU station to the Sheung Wan Station (2 stops). Upon arrival, you can either join the group to visit historical Macau (churches, museums, etc.), or the group to visit the casinos (Venetian, Galaxy, etc) on Taipa Island. You are free to explore on your own.
Participants who would like to join the dinner are asked to make your own way to the restaurant at 7 pm. The dinner will serve authentic Portuguese dishes which will be held at the historical Clube Militar de Macau, 975 Av. da Praia Grande, Macau Peninsula, Macau (Phone:+853 2871 4004). The maximum capacity for the dinner event is 24 people. The menu will be announced at a later date. We shall arrange a tour bus to take you to the ferry terminal at the end of the dinner to catch the ferry back to Hong Kong at 10 pm.
The cost of both the ferry and the dinner is HKD1,000. Please register and pay in cash at the registration counter latest by 4 pm on Dec 14 (Mon).
It is very convenient for foreign passport holders to apply China visa in Hong Kong (http://ctshk.com/english/useful/chinaDelivery.htm). You only need to provide your passport (7 month validity with two empty pages) plus a recent photo (colour on white background & glossily paper / 1.5 x 1.5 inch), and the required money. Please email the LOC by December 10 (Thursday) if you need this service.
For those of you who wish to explore Hong Kong on your own, please see Sun Kwok's suggestions on what to see and do.
