PLATO-A status and new instruments

Michael Ashley

An update will be given on the results from the 2014/2015 servicing mission, the current status of PLATO-A, and preliminary information from HRCAM (the all-sky optical camera), NIRSPEC (the near-infrared spectrometer measuring the sky background), and NISM (the 2.3 micron sky background monitor, at Ridge A, 150 km from Dome A). Some comments will be made on future instruments such as Evryscope (an array of twenty-seven 6-cm optical telescopes covering 8660 square degrees in a single exposure), and optical/IR interferometers.
