Student Ambassador in the Faculty of Science (2010-2013)

“Being new to a foreign country and a prestigious institution — HKU, I opened up my eyes to explore every single opportunity that flew pass my university life. One of the opportunities I grabbed on to is being the Student Ambassador of my faculty, the Faculty of Science. Being honored as an ambassador, I often enjoyed sharing my university life and learning experience to prospective students, via either campus visit or enriching programmes such as the Junior Science Institute (JSI). Not only that did I broaden my horizon by meeting with enthusiastic students from different regions including Singapore and Mainland China, I also got to know more about the Faculty and the University.  Nonetheless, I appreciate the precious friendship with other ambassadors. I look forward to further such serving opportunities.”

“I always enjoy helping out at the University, which provides me a very unique opportunity to work along with many Faculty staff in different Faculty-wide activities.

Through the past 2 years, I had been invited to visit several secondary schools, sharing my university life and learning experience with some prospective students. I had also made friends with other Student Ambassadors. Being an ambassador is indeed a fruitful experience for me. I certainly enjoy it!”
