Introduction
The Faculty of Science offers two undergraduate programmes: Bachelor of Science Programme, and Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science Programme.
The Bachelor of Science Programme has undergone a major reform in 2007 which allows students the flexibility in choosing their majors from a list of 15 Science majors of their choice after admission to the programme. This reform has proven to be very popular to secondary school students, attracting the most number of applicants among all undergraduate programmes in Hong Kong.
The Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science Programme remains the top programme in Hong Kong admitting students with the best quality. The programme provides academic training to students who wish to join the actuarial profession and to be actuaries, so as to cater the needs of the booming insurance industry in Hong Kong and Greater China.
