UG Students at the Department of Physics Received Silver Medal at the University Physics Competition

A team of three undergraduate students, Wong Hong Tsun, Ng Ka Wai and Gong Zhengyangguang, majoring in physics joined the University Physics Competition in November 2017. The aim of the competition was to encourage problem-solving in certain advanced physics topics among undergraduate students. The topics for this year's competition are solar sailing to Mars and ion thrusters. 

With the help of Dr Kai Ming Lee, lecturer from the Department of Physics, the team performed well in the competition and won a silver medal for the solar sailing problem.
