Fostering knowledge exchange in astrophysics at HKU by the Hung Hing-Ying Distinguished Visiting Professor

    Professor Albert Zijlstra delivering a public lecture "“Death of a Sun: The Wonderful World of Planetary Nebulae” at HKU

Professor Albert Zijlstra, Hung Hing-Ying Distinguished Visiting Professor in Science and Technology at the Department of Physics and Laboratory for Space Research, gave a series of science talks at HKU, local secondary schools and societies in March and April 2017.

The interactive talks delivered by Professor Zijlstra fostered students’ interests in astrophysics enriching their science knowledge outside their school curriculum. The visit of Professor Zijlstra also provided the impetus to knowledge exchange in astrophysics and astronomy among HKU and other renowned institutes enhancing research activities in the areas.
