We obtain kinematic distances of supernova remnants G31.9+0.0 and G24.7-0.6 by analyzing their neutral hydrogen absorption spectra. We refine the G31.9+0.0's distance of about 7.2 kpc due to its interaction with the surrounding molecular clouds. For G24.7-0.6, the fact that the HI emission peak at velocity of 42 km/s has no associated HI absorption hints an upper limit distance of 12.3 kpc. In addition, we give its lower limit distance of 9.3 kpc because there is clear absorption at the tangent point towards G24.7-0.6.
